Online Safety Advice

6 April 2020 (by admin)

Please see attached our online safety advice with so many of your children spending even more time online.

What a great job everyone is doing with their home learning. It makes me so proud to be part of the PBCS team; parents, children and staff are all doing an amazing job!  Please see our online safety advice.
1. Class Dojo is a secure site and all your child's information is safe. Only you, your child and the school staff can access this information and communicate with you.

2. Teachers will always check websites and app's before recommending them but it is still very important you monitor any apps and websites your children are accessing.

3. This is a great website if you want to find out more information about staying safe online. https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/

4. This is the website to report a concern about online abuse or inappropriate communication online https://www.ceop.police.uk/safety-centre/

5. Net Aware - https://www.net-aware.org.uk/ lists most of the social networking and gaming platforms, here you can search and get advice about how you can make them safer.

6. Set your own house rules for technology and remember to make time to turn your technology off and enjoy other activities such as a conversation, game or some time outside.

Thank you for your support, stay safe and keep up the good work"
