Urgent Notice - change to the schools planned last day of term

8 December 2020 (by admin)

We are writing to inform you of a change to the schools planned last day of term. The last day in school for pupils will now be Thursday 17th December 2020.

This afternoon The Department for Education has written to school recommended that schools use Friday 18th December as a school inset day.

This will mean the 6-day track and trace period school leaders are required to oversee will expire on December 23rd this decision will also help the national effort to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

We are therefore writing to inform parents and carers of a change in the schools published calendar.

Change

Friday 18th December 2020 will now operate as an inset day in line with the Department for Education’s guidance and all pupils will not be required to attend school.

The teaching time will be made up by cancelling the planned inset day on Monday 7th June 2021.

The school’s published calendar has been updated and pupils will now attend school on this date as normal.

Thank you for your understanding.
